Product releases in 2024

Everything Peerdom shipped in 2024: new features, app updates and improvements, with the date each one went live.

Update custom relationship field

You can now update your custom relationship fields with ease! This new option lets you change the name, switch between single-entry and multi-entry, and adjust privacy settings as needed. These updates make it simpler to tailor fields to your needs.

API: Add custom fields to peer profiles

Enhance your peer profiles with custom fields using our Public API. Now, you can add or update peers with predefined custom field properties like Office, Mobile Number, Skill Set, and more, all from outside of Peerdom. Refer to the sample request in the API documentation to see how to include these fields in your API calls.

Small, sweet improvements for the Holidays

This product release brings a few simple improvements to enhance your Map experience. When searching for peers in the role assignment form, the dropdown now highlights matching options as you type. We’ve also made the map feel smoother while saving changes, letting you focus on your work without distractions, and improved zooming to make role names clearer, even in large maps.

Introducing relationship custom fields

Add richer connections to your map with new Relationship custom fields. Link Peers, Groups, or Roles directly to each other, for example to capture the reporting line between a direct report and their line manager. Just choose “Relationship” when creating a custom field and define the object type you want to link.

Our latest API release brings useful new features to enhance your integration and data management. Additionally, you can now set drafts to private during creation for added control over map visibility.

Explore these features in the latest API, more details are in our API Documentation.

Spot real-time changes better than before

We’ve updated the org chart map with new animations to help you better track changes in real time. When a role or group is deleted, it will briefly enlarge before disappearing, making it clear what’s been removed. For new additions, the role or group will pop up and blink three times to draw your attention. These updates make it easier to see changes as they happen.

Add a point-of-contact to groups and roles

As an Editor, you can now select how group members or role holders are contacted. Choose to email members directly or route communication through a designated point-of-contact (e.g. shared inbox). This option streamlines communication and ensures messages reach the right individuals.

Embed private maps

Try embedding your Peerdom map in another site! This capability allows you to securely share sensitive information within your Intranet sites or other private platforms. Improve your team’s efficiency and communication by integrating your map into your existing tools.
