Product releases in 2025

Everything Peerdom shipped in 2025: new features, app updates and improvements, with the date each one went live.

Peer profiles, tidied up

We revisited the peer profile and cleaned it up to make it easier to read. Custom information boxes can now be seen in a new profile sidebar.

Export your contribution data

You can now include Contribution App data in Peerdom exports. This includes summed contributions for each group as well as summed target contributions. It’s ideal for reporting, audits, identifying gaps, or further processing outside Peerdom.

Join an organization right from login

Your peers can now request to join your organization directly from the login screen. This shortens onboarding for those who work with an organization already on Peerdom.

A directory with context

Get more context in the Directory app when you click on a person. The sidebar now includes their assigned roles and extra information fields. It’s a faster way to understand who does what without leaving the directory.

Jump to a partner’s map

You can right click directly on a networked organization and “Visit map” to open the connected organization’s map. Navigation across your organizational network is now only two clicks away.

Quickly access archived maps

You can now navigate to all of your organizations - past or present. Open archived maps directly from the profile menu.

Drafts load faster

The Drafts dashboard now loads draft previews progressively. It loads four draft previews at a time, making the dashboard loading time much faster!

Add external users on SAML tenants

If you’ve configured single-sign-on via SAML, you’re now able to also add users who sign in with email and password. The Directory shows each account’s identity source, so it’s clear who comes from SSO and who doesn’t.

Import bigger teams

It’s now possible to import more than 1000 peers in one go. This speeds up onboarding for large organizations.

Understand how feedback flows

Anyone with access to the Feedback app now has a dashboard that shows feedback across the organization. View who exchanged feedback, when it happened, and which roles were involved. Then jump to profiles, request or send feedback, and edit or delete feedback you gave. If you were not involved, you see the fact that feedback occurred, not its content.

Members can self-assign or remove themselves from roles

Organizations can now allow Members to assign or unassign themselves to roles. Do it from the role’s inspector or from your own profile. No approval necessary: every change is recorded in the Journal, and your map stays up-to-date without map editor bottlenecks.

Explore connected organizations on public maps

Public organizations can now show their relationships on their maps. Visitors can explore an org chart, see which other organizations it’s connected to, and hop between maps to browse the entire network. This makes inter-org collaborations visible and easy to navigate.

Contribution at-a-glance

The Contribution App dashboard now lists all roles with contributions so you can see how much time is going into each role at-a-glance. If roles have a contribution target set, you’ll even see progress bars to help you quickly identify understaffed or overstaffed situations.

Peerdom Free: a forever plan for small teams

Peerdom now has a free-forever tier for teams up to 10 people. You get unlimited roles, teams, and profiles. Advanced capabilities like API keys, webhooks, bulk peer import, and Peerdom Apps are available with a 14-day Peerdom+ trial or on a paid plan. When you’re ready for an 11th person or finer-grained access levels, upgrade to Peerdom+.

Add pages to roles, groups, or peer profiles

See all relevant documentation in context. Add a list of pages from the Pages App to any profile, role or group description. Linked pages appear in inspector details on roles and groups, or in a box at the top of peer profiles.

Webhooks connect Peerdom to your tools

Stream Peerdom events to any another tool! Whenever roles, groups or peers are created, updated or deleted, you can trigger events. Examples: automatically write a message to your favorite chat tool to celebrate new colleagues, notify teams when roles or groups change, or ping HR on profile updates. Or, trigger fullscale automations via n8n, Zapier, IFTTT, or Pipedream.

Inspirations now speaks your language

Create a new inspiration map in your own language. Inspirations now follow your account language settings, producing your full inspiration map in the language you work in.

Role vs. group properties are now separate

Select if a property field should be shown for roles, for groups, or for both. With this, you can now display different information in role descriptions than in group descriptions.

Leadership roles keep their status

When you drag-and-drop or move a Leadership role to a new parent group, it keeps its leadership status automatically. Less cleanup, more confidence. Leadership stays leadership wherever it goes.

Drag-and-drop editing is here

Updating your org map is now as easy as dragging and dropping groups and roles. Use Ctrl (Win/Linux) or Option (Mac) to copy, and Shift to open the move/copy dialog.

Self-service API keys

Your team can now create and remove API keys directly in Settings → API Keys, making it easier than ever to integrate Peerdom with your other digital tools.

Your Directory remembers your view

The Directory app now saves your column and sort preferences to your account, so it always opens just the way you left it. Your settings are personal and do not affect anyone else.

Network app, auto-on when you connect

When your organization is invited to connect with another on Peerdom, the Network app turns on automatically so both sides can immediately visualize the relationship on their maps.

Introducing Inspirations ✨

See what your organization map could look like based on how thousands of similar organizations work. Our new Inspiration feature helps you go from blank slate to structured draft in a single click. Just answer a few questions about your team, and we’ll generate a fully editable map to get you started.

Browse all roles in your directory

The Directory app has been expanded to also list all roles on your map. We added an additional tab to make it so you can easily switch between listing people or roles.

Coming soon: drag-and-drop on the map

You might notice something new when you hover over a role or group… We’re gearing up to launch full drag-and-drop editing on your map! Stay tuned for this exciting efficiency booster!

Instantly find all mirrored roles on the map

Ever wondered where else a role shows up across your organization? With our new multi-select for mirrored roles, you can now highlight all mirrored role appearances in one go: directly on the map. If you want to trace synchronized responsibilities across teams, this feature gives you instant visual clarity. Perfect for larger maps or when syncing across roles matters. Try it on any mirrored role. No more guessing where else that role resides!

Customise your Directory view

The Directory App just got more powerful: you can now choose exactly which columns you want to see. Need email addresses at a glance? Curious about T-shirt sizes, next career steps, or favorite jokes? Just tick the boxes that matter to you and hide the rest. It’s never been easier to tailor your org-wide overview.

Sneak Peek: Role-centric Directory view

For all of you working in structured, regulated environments: this one’s for you. We’re cooking up a role-centric view in the Directory App, showing each role in your organization, who holds it, and how it connects across your structure. It’s especially useful for teams navigating ISO certifications or managing compliance and accountability. While it’s not linked in the interface yet, you can already explore it: Just change your URL from ”…/directory/” → ”…/directory/roles” (requires the Directory App to be active). We’d love your feedback! We’re shaping this feature with you in mind. Tell us what’s working, and what you’d love to see next!

Assign roles via the API

It’s now possible to assign or unassign people from roles programmatically. Role management just got a whole lot easier for automated setups.

Consistent custom field handling via API

You can now reference custom fields in API responses using fixed IDs, not just translated names. This makes automated filtering and integration more reliable: no more surprises when someone changes language settings.

Improved handling of special characters via API

Names with accents, emojis, or other special characters now play nicely with the API. Everyone’s welcome.

Global opt‑out for optional emails

Map administrators can now disable all optional, transactional emails for everyone in the organization. This is ideal during intense map-building phases. No interruptions from emails about role changes or map updates, letting you work uninterrupted until you’re ready to re-enable notifications.

Access profile configuration while adding peers

We’ve added a shortcut to the Details tab when adding new peers. Now you can configure what information appears on peer profiles (layout, fields, visibility) by jumping directly into the profile settings.

Did you know you can add links in roles, groups, pages, or peer profiles? Now any non-Peerdom link opens in a separate browser tab. This allows you to jump to external documentation or tools without losing your place in Peerdom.

Radial layout for Tree View

Like the Tree View but prefer a circular format? You can now configure the Tree View from linear to a radial layout, offering a more visual and space-efficient way to explore deep hierarchies.

Tooltips for peers on the map

It’s now easier to see who’s who. Hover over a peer on the map to see their name and focus (if they’ve set one). No need to click around: just a quick glance gives you the context you need.

Delete your own account when access is removed

No workspace? No problem. You can now delete your profile anytime if you’re no longer part of a workspace. Or better yet, start your own organization and make some magic happen.

Explore your org with the new Tree View

A new Tree View option is now available on the map! This layout option makes it easier to understand reporting relationships and navigate your organization at a glance. Simply select the Tree View from the layout options at the top-middle of the map.

Add WebP images and animations

You can now upload WebP formats in peer profiles and pages, making your images and animations look richer and load faster.

Invoice warnings for admins

We’ve added timely alerts about unpaid invoices in the billing settings. Admins and workspace owners can now stay on top of payments. This helps keep your org chart accessible without interruptions.

Instant view after copying or moving

When copying or moving items between maps, you’ll now be automatically taken to the updated destination. Whether you’re ready to move a new role from a draft to the live map, or copying ideas for new teams between drafts, you’ll no longer have to wonder if the change went through.

Set default access settings for everyone

Admins can now define default access levels for all members across a tenant. This makes it easier to manage permissions consistently: saving time and reducing confusion when new users join.

Smarter role placement on the map

Roles on your map now automatically group more intuitively. Instead of floating randomly, related roles now clump together, making your map feel more organized and easier to read at a glance.

Better visibility and legibility on the map

We’ve improved contrast checks to make map labels easier to read, and now when you click on a group, all child-role labels are reliably revealed. No more guessing what’s inside.

New Integrations: Okta and Pipedream

We’ve added support for two powerful integrations. Okta integration is now available behind the scenes for secure single sign-on (SSO). Plus, Peerdom is now officially listed in the Pipedream App Store, making it easier to build powerful workflows with other tools you use.

Track role and group name changes in the Journal

You can now see when a role or group has been renamed directly in the Journal. This added transparency helps you stay up to date with changes as your organization evolves.

Faster everything

We’ve turbocharged the platform: loading profiles, maps, and the journal is now up to 2x faster. Enjoy snappier navigation and quicker access to the information you need.

Search results take you where you need to go

We’ve fixed some pesky search bugs! Selecting a peer from the search bar now reliably takes you straight to their profile: no more dead ends or missed clicks.

Add animated GIFs

Pages and peer profiles now support animated GIFs! Whether it’s a fun way to express yourself or an essential visual for your content, GIFs are now a valid image format.

Even more detailed Role & Group history

We’ve improved the Journal App to capture even more changes! Now, when a role or group is moved or deleted, it will be logged in the journal, giving you a clearer and more complete history of updates over time.

Enhanced map editing

Editing your map now feels more seamless! Layouts stay stable even when others make changes, and we’ve removed unnecessary blurring. Plus, the platform now uses less processing power when animations aren’t running, keeping everything running smoothly.

Add goals instantly from the map

Setting goals just got easier! Right-click on any role or group on the map to immediately open the goal editor, allowing you to add new goals in fewer steps and get started on them right away!

A smoother, more secure experience

We’ve made important behind-the-scenes improvements to enhance security and platform stability. While you won’t see these changes directly, they help everything run more smoothly and reliably.

Improved map readability

We’ve made your map easier to read! Labels on dark-colored circles now stand out more clearly, making them easier to identify at a glance. Plus, role labels will always appear when you click on a group: no matter the map size. Tooltips are now perfectly positioned, ensuring you never miss important details.

Select external roles in custom relationship fields

Whoops! This one slipped through the cracks, but it’s now fixed. You can now select external roles in custom relationship fields, with external roles clearly listed below their respective external parent-groups.

Enhanced user interface elements

For those who appreciate the finer details, we’ve polished multiple aspects of the platform to improve your overall experience. Responsive buttons, clearer page titles, and improved journal entries are just a few of the updates you’ll notice. Additionally, peer avatars and names are now visible in role or group journal entries, adding more context and clarity about the latest changes.

Improved visibility for peer relationships

You can now see when someone mentions you in their peer profile. For instance, if you’re listed as a mentor, this connection will automatically appear on your profile as well, giving you greater insight into your relationships and connections.

Easier role selection in custom relationship field

We’ve made it easier to select the correct role when multiple roles have the same name, like with mirrored roles. The role name will now include the group name in parentheses, allowing you to quickly identify and choose the right one when creating custom relationships.

Refined project display for non-nested map layout

We’ve improved how projects appear in the non-nested map layout. Projects are now positioned around their own circles for a cleaner look. Project arcs are also scaled for better balance, with organization wide projects appearing thinner, and more consistent with other map elements. Enjoy a more polished and organized view of your projects.

Track the history of Roles and Groups

Organizations using the Journal App can now view a comprehensive activity history for every role and group. Simply navigate to the Journal tab in the inspector panel on the map to access this information. You’ll find details on updates made to roles or groups, a list of previous role holders, and records of when goals were added or completed.

View the inspector panel in full-screen

Enjoy a more seamless experience when viewing role descriptions! With just one click on the Expand icon in the top-right corner of the inspector panel, you can switch to a full-screen view. This feature is especially helpful if you have extensive role descriptions and several custom fields, ensuring scroll-free, one-glance reading.

New vocabulary options for goals

Customize the Goals App to fit your organization’s terms. For example, if you use OKRs, you can rename “Goal” to “Objective” and “Subgoal” to “Key Result.” Just go to Goals settings in My Apps under Settings to select your preferred vocabulary.
