Meet Peerdom 5

Peerdom 5 is here: a map you explore like any digital map, search that understands questions, and two new apps, Flows and Proposals. Our guide to Peerdom 5 walks through the biggest changes, grouped by what you want to do, so you don’t miss a thing.

A map of your colleagues

Peerdom now uses your organization’s own word for people everywhere, from the map to the emails we send. New organizations start with “Colleague” by default.

Pan and zoom like any digital map

Double-click an object to zoom in on it, and click and drag to pan, just like the digital maps you already use. A new breadcrumb in the header always shows where you are and leads back to the app and your organization.

Switch between Working and Editing

Use Working mode for the day to day, like reporting progress and updating values, and switch to Editing when you want to change roles, groups, projects, or goals. In Editing there are no Save buttons: changes save themselves, and the Journal can restore anything you change your mind about.

Find things by describing them

Search now groups results by category and works on every page. With Peerdom+, Search by description lets you ask a question in your own words and finds what’s related, no exact keywords needed.

Peerdom+ is now a bigger package of apps, with Index and Insights, plus advanced features like time travel and Archive. Flows, Proposals, and every other add-on app are in the App Store, each with a 15-day free trial. Buying a plan, adding a promo code, and paying invoices all happen right inside Peerdom, with no detour to another site.

See every role in one place

The new Index app is a register of your whole structure: search, sort, and group roles by circle without panning the map. Open any role to edit it right alongside, or move it to another circle from a dropdown.

Turn recurring work into guided flows

The new Flows app lets you map a process as steps and hand-offs, name the roles involved in each one, and follow every flow on a board. A Flows layer draws the steps over the roles on your map.

Propose changes to roles and groups

With Proposals, anyone can suggest a change to a role or group, with a reason, and without needing edit rights. Editors and Owners accept or decline at their own pace, and every proposal leaves a trail.

Travel back in time with a timeline

Switch time travel on from the header and move along the timeline to see your organization as it was. Once an Owner turns on access to past maps, it’s included in Peerdom+.

Move through big maps smoothly

Large maps appear sooner, and panning and zooming stay smooth even in big organizations. Mini-maps, the Directory, and organization stats load faster too.

Move through pages faster

Open a page with a double-click, step between pages with ‹ › or your arrow keys, and choose who sees it: Everyone, Only you, or Shared. “Only you” now really means only you.

Follow every change back to the map

The Journal gains a Drafts inspector, clearer diffs, and a group timeline. Click any entry to jump straight to that goal, flow, or role on the map.

View your map as an organigram

Tree view is now a full organigram. Large maps are readable with deep branches, zooming, and folding. You can even export the whole chart to PDF exactly as it looks on screen.

Publishing a draft now carries everything with it

Projects, goals, labels, roles, feedback and relations all follow your draft when you publish it as your live map.

Speedy loading!

Maps, journals and everyday navigation feel noticeably quicker, and the map only loads the heavy parts when you actually open them.

AI assistants can read public organizations

Public organizations now publish their whole structure as a single document that AI assistants can read in one fetch. Ask your favorite AI assistant about any public Peerdom organization, and it can actually answer your questions.

Give your roles and groups a shape of their own

Squares and diamonds now join circles and hexagons. Role assignees, the goal meter and the related projects band follow whatever form you pick!

Size your map by the people in it

The new Weight layer can now size roles and groups by how many people are in them, by contribution or target contribution (requires the Contribution app). This makes it instantly visible how work is distributed across your organization.

Share a draft with a link

Private drafts are no longer yours alone. Send a link and anyone in your organization who opens it gets access, and you can see and manage who has it at any time.

Work in Italian, Swedish or Portuguese

Peerdom now speaks Italian, Swedish and Portuguese, alongside the languages you already know. Set your favorite language in your language preferences!

Build your map from a tool you’re already using

Paste an API key from another tool and Peerdom will read the organization described there to build your map. This will create a new draft that you can make your live map, or choose to merge the import into your existing map.

Build your map from the documents you already have

Upload an org chart, a handbook, or a spreadsheet, and Peerdom reads the structure described inside it and imports it for you. Instead of typing out every group and role to get started, you begin from what your organization has already written down.

Work in the language you actually work in

Peerdom can now automatically translate role and group names, purposes, responsibilities, and text custom fields into your organization’s other content languages, with a progress indicator while it runs. Content also follows the language you chose to work in rather than your browser’s, and when something genuinely has no translation yet, Peerdom names both languages so you know what you’re looking at. Contact us if you’d like to try it out!

Decide which domains sign your people in

A verified domain can now be shared with a sister organization so both can sign people in at it, and domains can be removed when they’re no longer yours. A domain verified by one organization can no longer be claimed by another. Owners can also move a member between password and single sign-on on any provider, with a clear explanation of what to fix when the identity provider would refuse them.

Count on your restore points

Restore is now switched on for every organization, and always keeps a usable restore point: even after a quiet month with no changes at all. If your organization doesn’t receive automatic restore points, Peerdom now tells you why instead of leaving you waiting for one that never arrives.

Build more with the API

The API now covers Pages end to end: create and update pages and cards, archive them, attach, reorder and mirror cards, upload card images, and set page visibility. You can also create a peer together with their account and access level in a single call, and API keys are strictly scoped, a read key is now rejected on every write.

Keep your directory connected

If your directory sync goes down for any reason, Peerdom now emails our support team and your organization’s Owners instead of letting it quietly go stale. You’ll get reminders before Microsoft Entra ID client secrets expire, and connection tests that explain exactly what’s wrong when permissions aren’t set up the way sync needs them. Sign-in is tighter too: a Google Workspace login now signs you in only to the organization that authenticated it, the same check SAML and Entra ID already use.

See your map as it was on any past date

In Beta: Now you can rewind your organization up to a year back. Understand how your structure has evolved, or revisit how things were before the big reorganization. Contact us if you’re interested to try it out.

Restore your organization from a snapshot

If something goes wrong, you can now roll your organization back to an earlier snapshot: every four hours for the past five days, and daily for up to 30 days. Included in all Peerdom subscriptions.

Recover deleted images

Images are now kept for 90 days after deletion instead of disappearing immediately. Undo a deleted role or group and its images come back with it.

Reset all credentials in one move

If you suspect an account has been compromised, an Owner can now clear every password, end every session, revoke API keys and share tokens, and notify everyone affected.

See how your organization connects

In Beta: Relationships can now be visualized as a layer on the map. Choose Individual to reveal a node’s connections when you select it, or Combined for group-to-group connections between teams. Contact us if you’d like to try.

Share a private page with select peers

Private pages are no longer all-or-nothing. Share one with a few colleagues while it’s still taking shape, find your own private pages in relation and page pickers, and ask an author to publish theirs when it’s ready for everyone.

Duplicate and reuse your pages

Copy an entire page in one click, mirror a card into another page, or paste an image straight into the editor. Less rebuilding from scratch, more reusing what already works.

Add custom fields to pages and feedback

Custom fields now reach beyond roles, groups, and profiles. Capture the same structured context on your pages and your feedback, configured exactly the way you already know.

Let agents read your organization

Public organizations now publish a machine-readable version of their map, which AI agents can discover on their own. Your own agents can read the full picture (custom fields included) with your organization’s API key. A first step toward maps that agents navigate as easily as people do.

Add custom fields to goals

Goals and subgoals now support custom fields, giving you a structured way to capture additional context alongside each objective. Configure them from the Goals settings, the same way you would for roles, groups, or profiles.

Archive and reorder pages

Pages can now be archived to keep your dashboard clean without losing anything permanently. In edit mode, you can also drag and drop cards to arrange them exactly how you want.

Resume feedback where you left off

Unfinished feedback is now saved automatically as a draft so you can pick it up later. No more starting over: just open your draft and continue from where you stopped.

Set your organization’s color palette

You can now define the organization’s color palette in Settings → Palette, with the option to let Editors add their own colors. Color and shape now live together in a new Design tab, so styling a role or group (including switching between circle and hexagon) happens in one place.

See who last edited a role or group

Hover over a role or group title in the inspector to see when it was last edited and by whom. A quick way to stay on top of changes without opening the full history.

Show more inside embedded maps

Owners can now choose to reveal the side panel and the peer layer inside an embedded map. Both are off by default, so you decide exactly how much of your organization an embedded map shows.

Bring your peers along when starting from a draft

When you create a new organization from a draft, you can now bring your peers and their profile data with you. Less re-entry, and a faster start for your new map.

Export your map as a PDF

You can now export your map as a print-ready PDF directly from Settings → Export. It’s a clean way to share your organization structure in documents, presentations, or printed materials.

Choose your map layout as an Owner

Owners can now set the map layout for the whole organization from a dedicated layout picker. A new concentric layout option is also available, giving you one more way to visualize how your organization is structured.

Set permissions per group in directory sync

When configuring directory sync, you can now assign a different access level to each synced group. This makes it easier to manage permissions across large or multi-team organizations without manual adjustments after each sync.

Create text custom fields on the free plan

Free plan users can now create and configure single-line and multi-line text custom fields. Add structured information to roles, groups, and profiles without needing a paid plan.

Set your own date and time format

You can now choose how dates and times are displayed across Peerdom to match your personal preference. The format applies consistently wherever dates appear in the product.

Simplify login for SSO organizations

Login is now faster and less confusing. Enter your email first and Peerdom automatically routes SSO users to their identity provider while only showing password fields when needed.

Improve reliability behind the scenes

This release also includes a collection of reliability, onboarding, performance, and infrastructure improvements to make registrations, deployments, and day-to-day usage smoother across the platform.

Undo and redo in the Journal

The Journal App now lets you undo and redo individual entries directly. Fix a mistake without having to reconstruct what happened: just step back, correct it, and move on.

See relationships as arrows on the map

Relationships between roles and groups now appear as directional arrows on the map. At a glance, you can see not just that two nodes are connected, but which direction the relationship flows.

Fade roles and groups without removing them

A new sub-menu in the Layers widget lets you fade roles or groups out of view while keeping the underlying structure intact. It’s a cleaner way to focus on part of your map without losing context.

Discover organizations through the network directory

Public organizations can now be found through a shared directory, making it easier to discover and connect with other teams on Peerdom. A platform-level step toward making the network more open and navigable.

Configure your session duration

Users can now set how long their Peerdom session stays active before requiring a new login. Owners can set a maximum cap for the whole organization, so security expectations stay consistent across the team.

Customize Projects with your own fields

The Projects App now supports custom fields, configured directly from its settings page. You can also reorder project labels by drag-and-drop and see each label’s color at a glance: keeping your project setup as organized as your map.

Search is faster

The keyword search pipeline has been streamlined, cutting perceived latency roughly in half. Results show up sooner, with no change to what you can search for.

Add list fields to roles, groups, and profiles

Custom fields now support a list type. Use it to capture multiple values in a single field: skills, tags, responsibilities, or anything that comes in sets.

Assign role holders directly from the map

A new Assignment tab in the role editor makes it faster to assign people without leaving the map. You can also right-click any role and choose Assign role to jump straight there.

Take your profile photo with your webcam

You can now capture a profile photo directly from your camera when updating your picture. No need to find a file: just snap and save.

Enrich Microsoft 365 profiles automatically

Peerdom now pulls in additional Microsoft 365 profile fields (including about me, skills, interests, and responsibilities) that aren’t available through the standard group sync. Profiles fill in with richer context, automatically.

See projects more clearly on the map

Projects now stand out more clearly on the map with their own colors, and linked roles use the same color for easier scanning. You can also right-click project outlines to open project actions directly from the map.

Track contributions with labels and summaries

Create labels to classify contributions by purpose or billing, for example: Billable, Non-billable, or Internal. Select a label each time you add a contribution, so you can break down time and effort by category.

Understand Peerdom usage more easily

In the organization settings, you now get more meaningful statistics about how Peerdom is being used. It’s a simple way to understand how Peerdom is being adopted and what value it brings.

Add alt text to custom field images

Custom field images now support alt text and image descriptions. That makes content more accessible and gives teams a better way to add context to images.

Invitations made easy

Inviting your colleagues to Peerdom is now much clearer. See pending invites, understand who invited whom, and onboard easily.

Add images to roles, groups, and profiles

There is now an image upload option for custom fields. Visually enrich roles, groups, and profiles with diagrams, reference images, or other visual context.

Relationship fields show both directions

Relationships are now bi-directional in the map inspector sidebar. When two objects are linked through a relation, the connection is documented on both sides, making relationships easier to understand.

Sync multiple groups in the Directory

Directory sync now supports multiple groups at once. This makes it easier to manage larger organizations and keep multiple teams synchronized automatically.

Search now finds Goals

Global search now includes goal and subgoal names and descriptions. Finding the right objective is faster, even as your goal tree grows.

Faster dashboards for Goals, Contributions, and Pages

Large datasets are now handled with ease. Goals, Contributions, and Pages now paginate to keep dashboards responsive as your organization scales.

A new organization overview

Access the new My organizations from your profile menu to see all organizations you’re part of, complete with mini-maps. From here, you can jump into any organization or create a brand new one.

More resilient under heavy load

We’ve strengthened how Peerdom handles high traffic and heavy operations. Requests are now processed more intelligently to prevent slowdowns and protect the system from overload, keeping the app stable as your organization grows.

Product screenshots across all documentation

Every documentation article now includes high-quality screenshots captured directly from the Peerdom interface. 34 articles across Apps, Settings, Map, Getting Started, and Guides now show exactly what the feature looks like, making it easier to follow along and understand each capability at a glance.

See all projects related to a role or group

See projects where you work. Select a role on the map to view its projects, or a group to see all scoped projects. You can open the project, show on the map, edit, view details, or archive it from the sidebar.

Search now finds projects

The global search now includes project names and descriptions. Search results finding projects show a project icon. Clicking the result will highlight the project on the map for instant context.

Journal, faster and clearer

The Journal loads faster and shows red/green highlights for changes. This makes it easier to spot exactly what changed at a glance.

Sticky documentation sidebar

The Help Center sidebar now stays pinned while you scroll through articles, making it easier to navigate between pages without scrolling back to the top.

Fixed cursor on documentation links

Links in Help Center articles now consistently show the pointer cursor across the entire link area.

Feedback Reminders

Peerdom can now email anyone who hasn’t received a target number of feedbacks within the time window you choose, at the cadence you set. These friendly reminders keep a steady feedback rhythm without having to chase after participation. Owners can enable this in Settings → Feedback App. Reminders are turned off by default.

Page privacy controlled by the author

Only the page author can hide a page. This prevents accidental lock downs, keeps ownership clear, and ensures the Pages dashboard only displays published pages.

Goal descriptions with rich text

Goals and subgoals now include description fields with rich text formatting. Add context, links, and checklists directly on the goal so teams stay aligned without switching tools.

Leadership roles keep their status when reorganizing

Copying or moving a role can preserve its Leadership status. Restructure your map without losing which roles represent their groups.
